*Burn* Weight

Many people sight the traditional medical treatment "cupping" to do wondrous things such as eliminate pain and burn body fat. It will burn alright, but not your fat. Cupping has absolutely no proven scientifical benefits ; it simply leaves you with blotchy and occasionally scorched skin. It is yet another "miracle cure" being sold by online scam artists. Electrocuting yourself to sleep?

I stumbled across a ridiculous product today. It claimed to put the user to sleep without the use of drugs. The way it claimed to have done this is by 'stimulating the central nervous system'. This is complete nonsense. The 'sleep mask' (see picture A) contained two electrode pads (one sends pulses the other receives) that pulse alternating eletrical charges through the users body. However, simple eletrical knowledge would tell you that instead of the electricity running through the user's central nervous system, it would simply travel through the skin of their forehead and complete the circuit by returning to the device. All this would do is leave the user with mild eletrical burns. Stimulating the user's nervous system would simply keep them awake with pain and odd sensations anyway. My advice for the day, if it has no/little evidence to back up it's claims, stay away from it. Have a pleasant day.

Do not drink seawater.

Sea water provides no healing properties when consumed. It simply makes one more thirsty, causes high blood pressure and may cause vomiting. Strangely enough, seawater isn't that tasty either. Have a nice day.

In this modern age, fake medicine thrives like never before. Even on stores as main-stream as Amazon, many fake and sometimes harmful medicines are sold in masses to victims of terrible, life-crippling illnesses. The 'snake oil salesmen' that sell these products do not care about the welfare of their customers ; they will happily let them die if it makes them a profit. The medicines they are selling are not being used by professional, licensed doctors for a reason, and that reason is not that they are being hidden by the pharmaceutical companies for their own gains as quacks would have you believe. The real reason that they are not being used by professionals is because they simply do not work. If you ever take one thing away from this blog, NEVER USE QUACK CURES. Do not fall for their trickery. Do not throw your life away. Spread the message far and wide to save lives.
